Over two decades ago, Chrome made their first bag with a Juki sewing machine, a few yards of industrial-grade nylon, military-grade truck tarpaulin, and the commitment to making durable, useful gear that works on and off the bike. They didn't have money to make a buckle that could hold the weight of a loaded messenger bag, so they salvaged seatbelt buckles out of junkyard cars. An icon was born.
The original messenger bag with its seatbelt buckle quickly became a favorite of professional messengers around the world. More importantly, Chrome's way of making things was defined. They call it "Freedom through limitations."
The Mini Metro Messenger Bag is a small-scale version of the original, iconic messenger bag. To maximize durability and waterproofness, every Mini Metro is made twice. The inside liner is made with a 22oz truck tarpaulin, and the outside is made with abrasion-resistant 1050 denier military-grade nylon.
